Hollow Authority
My way is right, your way is wrong
my world is violence, a never ending swan song
I know the facts, no need for any more,
I can hold my breath, the silence of cold war
Misery loves my company, anyone else is a traitor,
you can read it online, a verbal terminator
The knock is at the door, hands shake the face sweats,
they've come to take my friends, loaded with no regret
Panic, static, frantic, stress automatic
Terror, error, tremor, there in the mirror
Silence is the noise, fear of love destroys
and the isolation deploys, acts of venom it enjoys
The knocking at the door, no one there to look for
Illusion manifests the horror, but the mind keeps the war
That kid upstairs, is going to feel my pain,
if its the last thing I do, my brutality I will reign
People should do what I tell them, I am the authority,
those who don't choose my path, will suffer my superiority,
I will always win, you will always lose,
it doesn't matter anyway, you're just here to amuse
I know there talking about me, can feel the hands on my back,
voices say it'll get easier, I'll find a way to fight back
Doubt, breakout, fallout, time to check out
Fatigue, disease, retreat, clarity is deplete
Worry is religion, anxiety superstition
its made its decision, life in a bad condition
Impending doom coming soon, like a phase of the passing moon,
he sits in his chair, erupting violence in the room !!!

Evil of Inaction
The executioner's hood casts a shadow through the streets,
holding a knife in one hand and calling it peace
Have to keep running from the menace with what hands can keep,
arriving at the vessel the sea calms the mind to sleep
What makes a neighbor, a monster from a friend,
fear unending, its hard to comprehend
It was only yesterday we were playing games in the street,
the spring air brings warmth and now bodies lay in the street
A generous captain, hope fills the sails of relief,
been driven from homes now sacked by a thief
Refugees from bigotry brings unending grief,
what keeps society growing now stands still with disbelief
This ship to freedom, traveling, keeping kind eyes on each other,
looking after each other, one after another
With a new land to learn, learn and discover,
a fresh chance of life's promise, held by warm hands of a mother
Hopes anchored at the harbor, minds go to unrest,
Cant cross the border, our freedom put to a test
Once what was a promise, now muddled with political gutlessness,
Once what was a bond, now razed with greedy lustfulness,
Once what was once an agreement, now empty and left useless,
Once what was once the written word, is just more bureaucratic callousness
I can see through the wall, and yet I, cant understand,
a legal enclosure, that seperates the land
With hands open on both sides, but uniting is banned,
and to escape from a living hell, and told not to take a stand
Refugees seeking political asylum,
while flip flopping laws find holes to deny them
Refugees seeking freedom from violence,
but waiting at the border makes one feel riotous
Refugees waiting for laws to amend,
they want more money with every dividend
And victims of the ultimate crime,
forced out of homes and waiting for consent
The final word is coming, time stands still
Will the laws prevail, and show goodwill
Will the lawman come back, and bring another bill
But the ans answer is no, no, none, nil
The evil of inaction, gives them great satisfaction,
The cowards of commerce hide their bigotry with every legal action
Directed back to another land to find another home,
only to come back to another place covered with bullets, steel, and chrome
The menace is horrendous and crawls its way back,
on the run again as the smoke in the sky turns the world black
Snatched by the monsters, and sent to work in camps,
humans turned to slaves, no hope left to burn a lamp
So many questions left unanswered, so many left to die,
Why did this have to happen,
this was no reason to say goodbye !!!

Last Ocean
Here were living underwater, can feel the water getting hotter,
so hard to live here sleep and swim, as daily life begins to totter
Pretty plastic swims within, toxic effects mutate and begin,
PCB and DDT rush through the heart and out the skin
The chemical sludge, hard to budge, pushing harder cant move to much,
it gets worse with every year, its getting more than holding a grudge
Our bodies adapt to the change, organs mutate and rearrange,
species affected walk on land, strike back at humans in excited exchange
If they cant stop, we cant stop, its all the same
So when the species changed and walked upland it was only fair game
If they cant stop, we cant stop, its all the same
that they took back their only habitat, there wasn't any need to declaim
And so the sea life moved on land, growing feet and growing hands,
destroying factories and shutting ports, mutant creatures make their stand
Clogging sewers with garbage patch, polluted water by the batch,
they moved so quickly like the rain, the states only forces were no match
And putting pressure to contain, normal lives they cant maintain,
so people realize the mistakes they made and just accept the obvious blame
Making changes to human life, mutant creatures sheaf their knife,
retract back to the ocean as the changes reduce their strife
If they cant stop, we cant stop, its all the same
So when the species changed and walked upland it was only fair game
If they cant stop, we cant stop, its all the same
that they took back their only habitat, there wasn't any need to declaim
And so the story must conclude, marine life can be very shrewd
when left overlooked and contaminated the environment can quickly change the mood
Unfortunately this anecdote isn't real, our reality is quite surreal,
if we continue to dump the ocean we will only give ourselves a fate to seal
If they cant stop, we cant stop, its all the same
So when the species changed and walked upland it was only fair game
If they cant stop, we cant stop, its all the same
that they took back their only habitat, there wasn't any need to declaim

Last Power

Last Power
A willow, out the window, moves freely, in the meadow
It's on TV, so we can see, what was once free, is now under lock and key
Road is empty, and no assembly, our lives are petty, the costs are hefty
So who knows, and dreams foreclose, eyes in shadow, more poverty.....to impose
The toll is a crime, so few can afford,
and the politicians hide from the threat of a sword
so all the laws written come from the chairman of the board
and every avenue of new thoughts remain unexplored
all the resources of ethics the company keeps to horde
your fees begin as they cut the umbilical cord
maintain it, contain it, and sell everything thats left
if you turn the faucet on, they'll consider it theft
no ideas to put to paper leaves the public depressed
you never stop working and no means to invest
(count 4 then start)
They take every once of value,
and squash it on the floor
Re-label it for profit,
wishful thinking is the whore
If dirt could be sold,
you wouldn't find it out the door
One bank to run the planet,
an end to capitalistic war
It wasn't suppose to happen,
we weren't ready for whats in store
Will we stand up and protest,
what the bank is coming for
A siren, in the distance, calls loudly, in the horizon
And cameras fall, from the wall, sparks and fire, come from them all
The screen flickers, and we set in, what is happening, the felling begins
Is it ending, calm beginning, stomach plunging, breaths descending
Skit; Television reporter, “The last bank has collapsed, I dont know what is going to happen, but tomorrow is another day..........”
What are we gonna do when the power goes out,
I'll tell you what were gonna do, were gonna scream and shout
Were gonna run the land together instead of waiting for better weather,
everyone gets a chance to rise and speak without the upper class tether
Put greed back to evil, those crimes are so deceitful,
why should common sense be stifled when markets become illegal
And the tolls on folks whose dreams get crushed so hard it chokes,
the medicine costs more than the anger it provokes
The wheel and the spoke,
move together with the stroke
When one breaks the other,
the trust gets lost in the smoke
And the profit created from pain,
hopefully never to begin again
Will have to crawl back in the grave,
as those old ideas that were will begin to wane

Last Breath
Skit Intro;
“Welcome everyone, Welcome” “Welcome ladies and gentlemen”
“Welcome to the greatest product in the world...........YOU !!!!!”
(4 measures in after drums start)
Our breath gets shorter, our breath gets quick,
our blood pumps up and lights the wick
In group out group its always the same,
everyone wants out but still plays the game
Anxiety and fear, poison and pain,
signals get crossed and fools the brain
Cowardice and conformity, pitchfork and torches,
fates created from situational forces
Direction given from phobia of failure,
new ideas get silenced a crumpled piece of paper
When everyone will do anything just to be liked,
then the conclusion becomes whats done is right
And so many years later from the data created,
any liability gets often deflated
Herd behavior, an institution, creates our problems,
and never gets solution
Anything that sticks out, they turn into product,
gets devalued and left a comic
Self doubt is the trick sold to people,
we do it to each other so thick its lethal
But when push comes to shove wills are tempered to strength,
you got something to say, but kept at arms length
Know that inspiration and in between,
breaks the routine and stops the machine
Nothing worthwhile is ever easy,
uncomfortable moments and feeling queasy
It would be simple to just sit back and sleep,
stare into nothing, its just too cheap
Leisure class comfort clicking at the screen,
the set goes off, the reflection feels obscene
I've never felt better burning the midnight oil,
lifes too short to sit and let it spoil
Because now I know whats real,
this is exactly how I want to feel
The conformity can be kept at the production line,
I'll be out smiling, and alive with the sunshine
And I'm feeling fine
And I'm feeling fine
(Remember, the chorus, Keep it down, keep it down, keep it shhhhhhhhut!)

The End

The End
(wait eight chops in then start)
Theres no more sick – no more poor
no more dead – no more war
no more hugs – no more kisses
no more fears – living submissive
no more time – no more televisions
no more afflictions – and lying politicians
…...wait....what....no more politicians !!!!!!!
No more senators selling us lies,
they thought they had some truth with mouths full choking on flies
The distracted majority watching the screen,
bought all the products up, it all became so routine
Now theres nothing living left here to keep our memory alive,
let me reiterate some from words from our human archive
We did so well we couldn't stop consuming,
our eyes viewed a skewed we didn't see the danger looming
We had-
Televisions, introspection,contraception, and subdivisions
We took the world down to atoms, with such great scientific precision
Moon trips, ocean ships, partnerships, and microchips
The world was our oyster, until we decided to take all of it
We shopped the planet empty, even the air,
it was suppose to last forever year after year
Science tried to warn us but wooden ears couldn't hear,
walls blocked our vision from whats left disappear
What was that customer thinking with the last purchase,
was it just for novelty or serve another purpose
We shopped till we dropped, and that was the end,
keep the process going, a higher end, stock dividend,
but we did real well here, a reason to pretend,
resources now sit empty, its easy to comprehend
(Keep it down will ya)
Democracy and human rights for a world moving forward,
after so many wars we were beginning to leave that horror
Art, books, and plays, tried to drive the commentary,
but a public too full so no need to be cautionary
Computer, physics, and maths showed a need to be dire,
legislators for companies created a counter-intellectual quagmire
And as the last note played as the Titanic sank,
was the sound of clinking coins on there way to the bank
We had-
Faces kissing, ears listen, little tickling, and hearts beating,
the personal things of life with love forgiving
Skipping rope, happy hopes, telescopes, and shaving soap,
write it all down and seal it in an envelope
We put a man on the moon and everything shined,
began to work out all our problems, advancing human kind
Olympics and linguistics, advancing human limits,
our growing knowledge brought down myths like Mount Olympus
But the sands of time fell through our little fingers,
a planet of dust rotates the sun and so it lingers
We shopped till we dropped, and that was the end,
keep the process going, a higher end, stock dividend,
Resources all are vacant, its easy to comprehend,
We've had a great time here, too bad it had to come to an end.
